Project
AIM:
To carry out system level simulation of all terrai vehicle.
To study the BAJA ATV model with lookup table and with out lookup table.
model:
BAJA ATV

The input parameters
brake and throttle inputs:

* the brake is not applied
* throttle input is 0.5 through out the 80 seconds.
GENERIC ENGINE: this engine incorporates the relation between speed and torque from the data we given, and can be changed by controlling the throttle signal.

*CONTINUOSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION(CVT):

The speed of the engine is automated by state of the road conditions. depends on the speed and torque requirements. gears are automatically shifted according to the requirement.
the subsystem of the cvt block is

the input shaft inertia is for primary pulley and the output shaft inertia for secondary pulley.
and the variable gear ratio have multiple gear ratios , given at the input port "r".
To sense the angular velocities of the pulleys , two rotational motion sensors are present.
* VEHICLE BODY

The componets of the vehicle body are

it considers the vehicle body mass , aero dynamics the physical system,drag , weight distribution on axles when accelarating, the double break shoe is to apply the break on the rear wheels.
the velocity output of the vehicle for the given inputs of brake and throttle

the cvt shaft speed output of the primary pulley and secondary pulley

here the both pulleys are almost maintaining constant speeds after 50 seconds.
and we can observe the oscillating velocity for the primary pulley at the starting 5 seconds.
* WITH LOOK UP TABLE:
lookup table is an array of data which maps input values to output, forming a mathematical function.
in place of cvt ratio input lookup table is assigned in the models below.
Look up table visualization:

here we can observe cvt ratio vs vehicle speed.
cvt ratio:

vehicle speed and throttle input given

Result:
hence the given model is observed and it is observed that
the vehicle speed and cvt shaft speed are directly proportional to throttle input and inversly proportional to break input.
