Project-2-Meshing of Door Inner Panel Challenge

Project 1 – Side Door
Procedure:
1.
Imported given file .stp
Checked geometrical errors and removed using some tools like quick edit, etc.
2.
Moved to get Mid surface. For mid surface extraction had 2 options 1 is by auto mid surface using mid surface and 2nd is by offset using surface edit.
I used auto mid surface and whenever needed used offset too. Checked mid surface and corrected all errors.
Some features defined as per given in question
Before meshing set quality criteria as per given data.
Then started to mesh. For meshing used Automesh and in one shot did all parts meshing and then one by one feature checked all meshing flow and qualities.
- Cleared all quality issues of mesh and also placed mesh in plane , on surface, on line whenever necessary using Project tool located in Tool.
- Also defined all ribs and dog houses
- At end assigned thickness using Auto Thickness
There are too many thickness variation which need to fix by manual way and did it one by one and assigned properly.
Final Model
Outcomes:
Learned how to do mesh of big parts and also learned how to assign thickness and how to make sure all right. Still I have lots of doubts but I will clear it by one on one.
