Assembly Preparation

1. Define the mechanical components electrically and prepare the catalogue for the same
2. Create new product file and name it Main Context Assembly.
3. Create new product inside main assembly and name it Wiring Harness Assembly.
4. Add Back Door Assembly file main context assembly.
5. In Wiring harness assembly add required connector, P clamp, Furr Tree clamp by defining each electrically.
6. Place all connector at proper place using smart move and manipulation tool.
7. Furr tree at tentative location.

Routing

1. Activate Wiring harness Assembly.
2. Click Geometrical bundle and select assembly.
3. Using multibranchable, start routing from main connector.
4. Enter required diameter, slack, start point, end point, tangent direction and complete routing.
5. Using add branch point create branch point at desire location.
6. In channel use curve for routing purpose.
7. Check continuity of bundle.
8. Check clash/contact between BackDoor and multibranchable and adjust slack accordingly.
9. Save main context assembly.

Flattening

1. Activate Wiring harness Assembly.
2. Create new Cat Product File and name it flattening assembly save in same location.
3. Switch to electrical harness flattening environment.
4. Using Harness Flattening Parameter select plane, keep tangent option.
5. In drawing tab select for bundle segment single and for protective covering double line so that bundles with protective coverings show different visual in drawing view.
6. Graphic representation select 3D.
7. Save the parameters.
8. In window tile horizontally both product file.
9. Select extract option and select require assembly to flatten.
10. Select flatten command and select appropriate plane.
11. According to requirement use Rotate, bend, roll command.
12. Save the file.

Preparation of Drawing sheet and BOM

1. Activate Wiring harness Assembly.
2. Create new drawing file and select required drawing sheet size and orientation.
3. In properties 3D wireframe select always visible option.
4. Tile both product files vertically.
5. Select Front view and select connector face.
6. Using manipulation tool orient in required direction.
7. In properties select wireframe always visible.
8. Save File.
