Objective

To check for the geometrical errors and mesh with the given element Quality criteria and mesh the component using the given quality parameters and assign thicknesses.

Procedure :

Geometry Clean up

Did the geometry clean up and fxied the errors using Auto fix, there was unchecked faces which was fixed by creating the missing faces by using the faces > new option.

Midsurface

Extracted the midsurface using casting process as the pasrt was very complicated and the thickness was unifom, some midsurafce was not aligned and not formed properly. Used Curves option to create curves and form the midsurafce for dog houses, aligned it using the Align manager areas and perimeter option. Used the align points option to align cons. Deleted some macro areas and used the Elements fill option to create new elements. Used the Paste option from Middle mesh to paste some ares, Mostly used the Align manager perimeter option to align the midsurface.

Fix Quality

Fixed quality by using the split , swap, join option from Mesh > Elements and used the smooth and reconstruct option from Shell mesh also to fix quality.

Conclusion
In complicate models. Casting mid surface /FE & Align Manger effective used and element failure between triple cons having narrow regions cannot be eliminated.Although Casting process took time but in this process we don't go for Mid-surface, geometry clean-up, Mesh accordingly. Here we get the FE directly and fix the disturb features and using Align Manager align faces and perimeters accordingly with the parent model, the processes take alternatively & simultaneously when work in the FE.
