TRAFFIC JAM ASSISTANCE FEATURE
Traffic Jam Assistance feature, helps the driver to easily navigate during traffic congestion. It is an additional comfort feature which a major part of ADAS system. In can be seen as a combination of automatic cruise control and lane tracking system. When the user turns ON the traffic Jam Assistance system, the ECU starts monitoring the speed of the surrounding vehicle. If the speed of many surrounding vehicle is less than a threshold (let’s say 60 Kmph), then it goes for the auto driving mode.
The point to note here is, as it is not a fully automatic driving system, the driver needs to be alert. The moment driver leaves its hand from the steering, it should give warning signals.
The problem statement here is to take various inputs and decide whether to turn ON Traffic Jam Assistance feature or not. Accordingly, the data should be displayed on the cluster panel.
