Engine Wiring Harness - Project I

Study the CAD model of the engine for selecting connectors, Clips & Clamps, and Guiding channels.

P clamps and Guiding channels were used for better routing of bundles.

Add suitable connectors of required numbers and place them at their positions. Make sure all the connectors, clamps, and guiding channels used were defined electrically.

Next is to create bundles of suitable diameters to connect all connectors with the help of clamps and channels, using branch points wherever necessary, and keep the bundle bend ratio as 1.4/1.5.

Add Corrugated tapes to the bundles for better protection from wear and temperature, and to make them look aesthetically good.

For flattening, Define the flattening parameters in the new product file.

Extract the harness file into the new product file and flatten the bundles. And them into the drawing sheet for production purposes.
