Project 1
Tabulate the fuel economy numbers (kmpl) for UDDS and HWFET cycle. This forms the baseline numbers for comparing with the future hybrid version.

Fig - values of kmpl in the intial phase of the drive cycle.
from the tabulated data of efficiency of fuel in kmpl it can be infered that ,during the staring phase of the both drive, kmpl values are identical to each other but as we proceed in time ,(say)after 2.5 sec we can see change in the kmpl values of both drive cycle.

Fig -values of kmpl in the later phase of the drive cycle.
When compared, HWFET drive cycle yeilds higher values of kmpl ,as the change in the speed values are less when compared to UDDS.
b) Plot the time trace for engine, transmission input, transmission output and wheel speed on one plot.
c. Plot engine torque, engine power, fuel rate and fuel consumption using subplots.
d. Plot accelerator and brake pedal, gear command, vehicle desired and actual speed, vehicle distance using subplots.
e. Plot the engine operating points on the engine fuel map.
f. Write down appropriate brief comments on each of these plots, describing the vehicle behavior throughout the drive cycle.
g. Generate the plots for both drive cycles
UDDS DRIVE CYCLE

INFERENCE
In UDDS drive cycle
We can see that the accerelation, engine power, fuel consumption and for engine torque parameters varies as per the drive cycle.
There is a good varaition in the brake pedal action in percentage .
Transmission input and output value is in accordance with the drive cycle .
In the HWFET drive cycle,
We can see that the accerelation is almost constant with very slight varaition and the brake pedal action in percentage in close to a zero value. This is in accordance with the HWFET drive cycle which is almost constant after the intial start period.
Same degree of constant values can be observed for engine power and engine torque parameters.
Fuel consumption values are almost similar for both drive cycle.
So for HWFET drive cycle we can conclude that the vehicle is accerelating at a constant pace with all parameters with constant values throughout the drive cycle period.
