Project 1 - 2D meshing on the instrumental Panel
AIM:
- To check for the geometrical errors and mesh with the given element Quality criteria. After meshing the component the thickness has to be assigned for the given component.
- To use the automatic casting Align Manager option.
PROCEDURE:
- Import the geometry and without topo cleanup, as shown in below.
.
- The component with topo cleanup and with geometrical errors,as shown in below.
.
- The component should have more number of geometrical errors and I can work it.
- The component with zero geometrical errors,as shown in below.
.
- I can work with Automatic Casting method,it hardly takes 5-10 mintues.
- After the casting method,as shown in below.
.
- Using the align manager and there having the more emptys as shown in below.
.
- The Dog house and the ribs not connected properly by the casting method,as shown in below.
.
- I can work in the dog house and ribs and emptys region, where ever it capture not properly.
- Using the Join option and cut option for to recapture properly the dog house and ribs,as shown below.
.
- Assigned the automatic Thickness(convert) option under the classic deck mode,as shown in below.
.
- The given target element Quality criteria is applied and more no OFF Elements is having,as shown in below.
.
- Reduced the OFF Elements by using the Reconstruct, smooth, move and improve option in the classic deck mode,as shown in below.
.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Learned properly the Align manager uses and its work.
- Casting Align manager methods saves more time than the Mannual method.
- Learned why industries needs, casting aling manager method.
- Learned,Middle shell deck the connect option under the modify option.
- How to assign the Automatic thickness for the given component .
- In Aling manager, there is no Emptys in Areas and Perimeter.
CONCLUSION:
- I conclude that the zero geometrical errors and with good mesh flow as per given target element quality criteria can be achieved.
- some OFF elements is having near to the triple cons and is not to solve.
