Project 1

The given flowchart describes a system that uses a fuel cell and a battery to supply power to an electrical load.

The flowchart shows that the power demand between two power sources mention as Fuel Cell (FC) and Battery.

In this particular block diagram, it looks like a system for processing the Power demand from the vehicle is less than the minimum FC power than the power supply through the battery storage system and if the power demand is greater than the min FC power than the FC should be used and if the power demand of vehicle is more than the max power of FC than again Battery should supply the power.

Simulink Model Block constructions

Using Blocks

Signal Builder Block:- This block are using for power supply to the system and for the power demand of the system is lies between 0 to 1200 for this system.

Interval Blocks:- This blocks are used for pass the signal or current to the switch at the fixed interval of time.

Constant Blocks:- This blocks are used for pass the logic for condition is true or not.

Switch Block :- This blocks are used for power supply according to the desired condition.

Add Block :- This block are used for add the two conditions as shown in figure.

Scope Block :- This block are used to show the system output.

Input/output Blocks :- This blocks are used for show the input or output of the system.

Signal builder block send the power supply to the system and the power is go through the interval blocks and if interval conditions initial state and final state of the interval block is between 1000 to 1100 then battery power should be used and the interval blocks lies between 100 to 1000 then FC power should be used and if the interval blocks is lies between 0 to 100 then battery power will be used and the minimum power demand for the FC is 100 and the maximum is 1000 if the power demand is lies between the FC them the FC power is used.

Output of the system shows

The output of the Simulink model can be seen in the Scope block. The output would be a graph with three plots, one for each of the outputs mentioned above, plotted against time. The fuel cell power output would be a sawtooth wave as the fuel cell switches between the Running and Standby states. The battery power output would be a flat line, representing the battery supplying a constant amount of power to the load.
