Ans :- Based on architectures there are three types of elecrtrical vehicle

1) Series HEV

2) Parallel HEV

3) Series - parallel HEV

Series HEV

:-Internal coumbuston engin directly soes not power wheels

:-Engine drives generator and the generator either charge battery

:- Power an electric motor that drives the wheels

:- Recharge from ICE , regenerative breaking

eg- CADILLAC ELR

Parallel HEV

:- Both ICE and electric motor are connected to transmitssion

:- ICE and motor supply power to wheels switching back and forth as per driving condition

:- Recharging from regenerative braking

eg-HONDA CIVIC IMA

Pros and cons of hybrid electric vehicle

PROS OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

:- There is no need to charge

:- with gas purpolsion you can go anywhere without worring about range anxiety

:- Purchasing is inexpensive.

CONS OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

:- Not as efficent as an electrid vehicle in terms of energy consumption

:- It is time to change the oil and take care of the engine

:- Drive -away smoothness and silence are lacking in compresion to an EV

:- By compresion , the initial acceleration feels sluggish
