2) Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood
AIM:
To Prepare a Schedule for the walls, doors, windows, and material
INTRODUCTION:
Revit schedules are usually created because there is a need to quantify the various elements in your Revit project.
Revit schedules are a lot like a spreadsheet. They consist of columns and rows and the cells contain various data regarding the Revit elements. On top of that formulas and parameters can be applied to calculate new values from existing ones.
PROCEDURE:
Step 1: (Wall Schedule)
1. Open the Revit project that we have created from week 6 to week 8
2. Now go to the view tab and select the schedule option

Step 2:
1. Select the Category as walls and give the name of the schedule as Wall Schedule
2. Then Press OK

Step 3:
1. Select the Parameters that we want to insert into the wall schedule
2. Here I'm selecting scheduled fields as Count, Family, Assembly Description, Type, Width, Volume, and Area
3. Then Press OK

Step 4:
1. The Wall Schedule has been created with the various fields

Step 5: (Door Schedule)
1. Go to the view tab again and select the scheduling tool
2. Select the Category as Doors and give the name of the schedule as Door Schedule
3. Then Press OK

Step 6:
1. Select the Parameters that we want to insert into the wall schedule

Step 10:
1. The Window Schedule has been created with the various fields

Step 11: (Material Schedule)
1. Go to the view tab again and select the Material Take-off option schedule tool
2. Select the material category as Floor and give the name of the schedule as Floor Material Takeoff
3. Then Press OK

Step 12:
1. Select the Parameters that we want to insert in the Floor material takeoff

Step 13:
1. The Floor material takeoff schedule has been created with the various fields
RESULT:
The Schedule for the Wall, Door, Window, and Material has been created successfully
3) Using Revit Calculate the area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for the area and volume of each room.
AIM:
To Prepare a Schedule report for rooms with area and volume
INTRODUCTION:
Rooms and room tags are separate but related to Revit Architecture components. Rooms are model elements in Revit Architecture, like walls and doors.
Room tags are annotation elements that can be added and displayed in plan views and section views. Room tags can display values for related parameters, such as room number, room name, computed area, and volume.
PROCEDURE:
Step 1:
1. Open the Revit project that we have created from week 6 to week 8
2. Go to the View tab and select the scheduling tool
Step 2:
1. Select the Category as Rooms and give the name of the schedule as Room Schedule
2. Then Press OK

Step 3:
1. Select the Parameters that we want to insert into the Room schedule
2. Here I'm selecting scheduled fields as Count, Name, Number, Width, Volume, Area, and Perimeter
3. Then Press OK

Step 4:
1. The Room Schedule has been created with the various fields

RESULT:
The Room schedule has been created successfully with the appropriate area and volume
4) Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available on the internet, prepare the total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off
AIM:
To create a total cost of materials schedule using the unit cost rate
INTRODUCTION:
As the building design matures and construction details are accurately modeled, precise quantity takeoffs can be extracted from the BIM model to compute very detailed cost estimates that factor in the planned construction process and consider the labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for all building elements.
If we have started our model by choosing the masses option, we can add now some model elements as floors by face, and wall by face...to get a cost estimation at this step of the project, which is a little more accurate than the previous one
PROCEDURE:
Step 1:
1. Open the Revit project that we have created from week 6 to week 8
2. Go to the View tab and select the Material Take-off option under the scheduling tool

Step 2: (Wall Material Takeoff)
1. Select the Category as Walls and give the name of the schedule as Wall Material Takeoff
2. Then Press OK

Step 3:
1. Select the Parameters that we want to insert in the Wall Material Takeoff
2. Here I'm selecting scheduled fields as Count, Material name, Assembly description, Material area, Material volume, Cost
3. Then select another dummy column for the calculation of the Total cost
4. The Wall material takeoff Schedule has been created with the various fields

Step 4:
1. Now, we have to include the total cost parameter which is a calculated quantity
2. Go to the view tab and select the Add calculated quantity tool
3. Give the Name of the parameter as Total cost and select the formula option
4. Give the Formula as (Material: Volume/1 CF) × Cost and press OK
