Preparing Schedule & Cost Estimation for a building using REVIT
1) a) Using 3D model create a section box= BX
b) To create similar doors and windows in a floor plan layout= CS
c) To reduce the thickness of lines visible in plan views= TL
d) To apply override settings to a floor in the model section view= EOD
e) To increase the range of visibility in a plan view= VR
f) To select the previously selected items= CTRL+<--(Control plus left arrow)
g) To add annotations to the model views= DI
h) To bring the model elements in line= AL
i) To rotate the model elements= RO
j) To move an object to another location= MV
k) To copy a model element= CO
l) To mirror an element about an axis= MM
m) To create an array of model elements= AR
2) Aim: To prepare a schedule to the given components
Procedure:
Step1:
Click on windows start
In search bar type> Revit
Click on the revit software
Once the revit is open, it will shows the following page
Step2:
Click on >open
Open file> school architectural drawing
Click>open
The file is opened
Step3:
To prepare schedule for the walls
Go to view tab
Select> Schedules
Click > schedules /quantities
Following dialogue box will open
Select the walls
Select the parameters such as> wall type, area, volume etc
It will shows the following results
Similarly do the same procedure for doors, windows, and other material
It will shows the following results

3) Aim: To prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room
Procedure:

Click on windows start
In search bar type> Revit
Click> Revit 2021
Once the revit is open, it will shows the following page
Step2:
Click on> open
Open file> school architectural drawing
Click> open
The file is opened
Step3:
To prepare schedule for the walls
Go to view tab
Select > schedules
Click >schedule /quantities
Following dialogue box will open
Select the> room
Select the parameters such as> name, area, volume etc
It will shows the following results

Go to view tab
Select > Schedules
Click> material takeoff

Select the parameters such as> name, area, cost etc
