MODELING OF AMERICAN CHOPPER USING SOLIDWORKS

OBJECTIVE

• The main objective of this project is to model a various components of the American Chopper using solidworks softwere.
• Assemble the model components.
• Finel rendering of the american chopper using photo view 360 and solidworks visulaize.

INTRODUCTION

• This project report contains detailed explination of the American Chopper starts from modeling of the parts to finel rendering of the assembly.

DISCRIPTION OF THE COMPONENTS

• Transmission Belt:

Transmission Belt is used for power transmission without phase shift.It's used to connect several rotating shafts mechanically,belt can be used as a transmission element.

• Kick Stand:

kickstandis a metal bar attached to a 2 wheeler vehicle. It is used to prop up the vehicle when it is not in use.

• Front Fender:

A fender is different than a bumper because it's a metal structure that frames the wheel well of your vehicle, instead of the front or back. The fender extends between the front door to the front bumper covering the front wheels of the vehicle.

A Fender is the part of a vehicle,The primary function of a Fender is to prevent dirt,dust and liquieds.A Fender Flare also gives you the advantage of styling your vehicle for a unique limited edition look.

Front wheel is a rotating part located in front side of the vehicle.Which is that power is being put to the road in the same direction that you're steering.

• Rear Wheel:

Usualy 2 wheelers are Rear Wheel drivetrains pattern,power is transferred to the back wheels. There are many benefits to having power transferred to the rear wheels, including superior handling, acceleration, and braking.

• Engine:

An engine is a machine that converts energy from a fuel to some mechanical energy.It's creating motion in the process.IC Engines - such as the ones used to run vehicles.engines are generally referred to as Heat engines, which produce macrosopic motion from heat.

• Chain

The chain of a motorcycle is a very important element of the motorcycle drivetrain.The vehicle chain is a roller chain that transfers power from the engine to the drive-wheel of a vehicle.

• Oil Tank:

The oil tank stores the oil until it needs to be used by the heating system.Oil tank used for lubrication of the pistons.

Padel is a part of a vehicle and rest there foots in pedal while driving. It's used to changing the gears as well as applying break to stop the vehicle.

• Chassis:

Chassis is the base frame of the vehicle which gives a structurally supports the vehicle in its function.The orgin of the word chassis lies in the french language.

Chassis has the following fuctions

• Supports the bears the load of the vehicle body.
• Supports the weight of various systems of the vehicle such as engine,trasmission etc.
• Withstands the stresses arising due to bad road conditions.

Withstands stresses during breaking and acceleration of the vehicle.

Assembly of American chopper:

After modeling all the parts, choose the materials of each parts given by appearance option in solidworks it gives a realastic outlook of the product modeling.Then assemble the all parts using some mates.

PhotoView 360 Rendering:

Rendering gives more realistic view of the American chopper. The rendered image gives good apperances,lighting,scene and decals included with the model.
