DESIGNING OF AMERICAN CHOPPER WITH PHOTO-REALISTIC RENDERING USING SOLIDWORKS

Introduction:

This report contains a detailed explanation of the design of an American Chopper using Solidworks from part modeling to final rendering of the assembly.

Objective:

The objective of this project is to learn the tools and their operation in Solidworks.

  • Design the model of different components.
  • Assemble all parts of the chopper in the assembly.
  • Finally, render the American chopper.

DESIGN APPROACH

DESIGN METHODOLOGY

The transmission belt is one of the mechanicaL elements to transfer the power between two or more rotating shafts. It consists of a flexible strip mostly made of rubber material. The one side of the belt drive is connected to the engine whereas another side is connected to wheeL for transmitting power. It also modifies rotary motion in an easy way. There are nearly five types of beLts, but it is seLected on basis of requirements Like diameter of the wheel, design power, corrected power rating, pitch Length, and center Distance, etc. In some cases, these drives are used to change the speed, either up or down by using different sized puLLeys.

It is usually a piece of metal that can flip out from the frame and makes contact with the ground. MostLy kickstands are Located at the left bottom just like pedaLs and chains for a bicycle. The main reason is due to the Location of exhaust on the right side which can suffer one’s Leg during the opening stand. The main reason that exhaust is Located on the right because it is the amount from the Left. The kickstand is seLected on basis of the frame and putting gears on the scale to get an estimate of how strong.

The chain of reactions that achieve the objectives is set in motion by spark, which ignites a mixture of petroL vapor and compressed air inside a cyLinder and causes it to burn rapidly. It contains a cyLinder head that contains vaLve-controLLed passage through which air and fuel mixture enters the cylinder. So due to this, the engine must be a robust structure. The overaLL efficiency is around 35 percent. Some of the main parts included in the Engine are piston, Camshaft, fLywheeL, crankshaft, and connecting rods.
