Internal Geneva Mechanism
Aim : Internal Geneva Gear Mechanism
Perform motion analysis by rotating the driver wheel at 10rpm and 20rpm at get results with Frames as per characterstics of simulation.
Optain contact forces and angular velocity of gears.
The Geneva Mechanism or Maltese cross is a gear mechanism that translates a continuous rotation movement into intermittent rotary motion. The rotating drive wheel is usually equipped with a pin that reaches into a slot located in the other wheel ( driven wheel ) that advances it by one step at a time.
Model components of mechanism and assemble it.
Initiate MBD in solidworks
Give motor function to driver and make solid contact between them as well specify material.
initiate simuation by providing precise contact and adjusting frames.
Plot results for required values.
