QUESTION 1

Create a G+4 Residential building as per NBC standards and make it a central model file. Your model should contain:

1. The sloped roof at the top level of the building (10 degrees)
2. Architectural components including furniture and home appliances
3. Room tags and Annotations
4. Section cut through each room either longitudinally or transversely
5. Create a camera view on each room and add it in a sheet template.

1. Aim: To make a roof slope at the top level of the building as 10 degree

Tools used:

• manage tool bar and project units
• wall
• copy and paste to clipboard
• level
• roof
• property browser

Procedure:

• open new file by clicking on new

• later on select architectural template and click on ok to open a new file

• set the project units under manage tool bar

• draw G+4 levels after add levels in architecture tab by using walls

• For allocating the roof, we have to select the roof from architecture toolbar and select the ends by clicking pick lines option.

• Select the roof applied and in the property browser change the slope to 10 degree

Result : roof with 10 degree slope is successfully completed.

b. Architectural components including furniture and home appliances

Aim: To add components to all floors in the project

Tools required:

• Insert
• Load family
• doors
• and other components
• 3D view

Procedure:

• After we complete the inner walls, we insert the components required like windows, doors, tables, etc. by clicking on load family in insert tab

• similarly add sofa, sinks, lights, tv, beds etc.

• add the famlilies to all other floors

• For the 3D view press the 3D view in view

Result: placed the compnents in place in all floors successfully .

c. Room tags and Annotations

Aim: To add room tags and annotation

Tools ued

• Room tag
• Annotate

Procedure:

• select the room tag from architecture toolbar

• Select the rooms and add the names to respective rooms

• Use the annotate bar to measure and mark

Result: Annotation and tgging of rooms are done successfully

d. Section cut through each room either longitudinally or transversely

AIM : To produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in transverse direction.

TOOLS USED :

• View.
• Section.
• Property browser.

PROCEDURE :

• Open view menu and select section option.

• Draw the sections as required
• If the line is drawn horizontally we can get the transverse section of the project.
• If the line is drawn longitudinally we can get the longitudinal section of the project.
• 

RESULT :

different sections are drawn and and made easier to view

e. Create a camera view on each room and add it in a sheet template.

Aim: To create a camera view on each room and add it in a sheet template

Tools required :

• view
• camera

Procedure:

• Click on camera in view

• and add camera to rooms to get an exact view of room

Result: cameras has been successfully kept in rooms and camera views are taken
