Hood design-Week 2

Created Hood inner Panel taking reference from the outer panel and created all features like Emboss,Heinforcement, Hinges, Mastic Points, Strikker

Hood is what we call as a frontal car door(bonnet) which covers housing of engine, battery, etc.

Inner panel of the hood is created with the master section given and then added emboss for strengthening and pedstrian safety followed by cut-outs to create mastic points to glue it with outer pannel

mastic pannel is at a distance of 5mm from outer panel

Reinforcement is provided at the hinges and striker position for extra strength

Striker mounting is done with the help of trajectory of striker and creating assembly constraints for properly locking it in position and now finally thickening it to 0.75mm as given

Now creating outer panel for hemming (i.e, locking inner pannel and outer pannel )

Offsetting outer panel to 2.65mm(0.75+0.2+0.75+0.2+0.75), creating law exxtension and 3 face blend with offset surface, law extension, outerpanel.

After creating 3 face blend thickening it to 0.75mm.

Due to the creating of hemming there will be stress induced and the curve and corner places. so, we create stress relif at that places.

FINALLY CAR HOOD IS CREATED IN THE GIVEN PROCESS AND ALL THE REFERENCE PART FILES ARE GIVEN IN THE ZIP FILE ALONG WITH THE IMAGES OF HEMMING, REINFORCEMENT, STRIKER, HINGES, RELIF SECTION
