Hood design-Week 2

1). Hood assembly -

Hood assembly consist of an inner panel,outer panel,reinforcement panel,stricker,hinges,mastic glues & wiping systems.

a). Hood -

An opening body panel that covers the engine in a front engine panel.

OR

The hinged cover over the engine of motor vehicle.

b). Latch trajectory -

The path which the stricker will follow when the hood is in open/closed while pivoting on the hinged axis.

c). Mastic glue -

A very strong bonding agent used in many commercial & industrial settings.

d). Emboss -

Modify a sheet body by adding faces of a solid body was pressed into the sheet body.

e).Deep drawing -

Forming of a sheet of metal in various shape with the using of dies on various press machines/cnc press machines.

f). Hemming -

sheet metal forming process in which sheet are joined by bending it to 180 degree & in this process usually a sheet is bent with the help of inner sheet in 3 different steps.
