Foundation Design using SAFE
1 )AIM:
Model the isolated base provided in Week 11 of the SAFE challenge. Analyze and design it to verify the size, depth and steel provided as per calculations.
INTRODUCTION:
SI SAFE (Finite Element Slab Analysis) is the best concrete slab and foundation design tool by Computer and Structures, Inc. detailing etc.
PROCEDURE:
1.first open SAFE
set new model set prefrance, cover etc.
use IS456:2000.us for reference
Now we need to define the material in it.
Define M25 and HYSD415
2.Now we need to provide a base of 600 mm.
click ok
Now go to define > load combinations.
After applying the load, click run analysis.

3.Now check the hole punch, it should be less than 1.
OK THEN.
Now go to design strips
2. A 600x600 column carrying an unfactored dead load (DL+LL) of 1175 kN is to be supported on a pile cap which ultimately transfers the load to the piles below. Piles with a length of 16 meters and a diameter of 500 mm are used. Each pile has a load capacity of 200 KN. Model, analyze and design a pile cover at SAFE to evaluate the following:
The pile cap group to use
pile cap depth
Longitudinal steel on top and bottom in both directions
AIM:- MODEL AND DESIGN A CLOSED INSERT USING THE GIVEN DATA.
PROCEDURE:
First, open the safe.
Use IS450:2000 to set up the project.
Define materials
Define the board.
Now define load and load combination same as que 1
Now we need to draw a reference point for the pile, pile ceiling, column
Now create a 600mm x 600mm column
Draw a column in the middle using a reference point.
After assigning all the load, run the structure.
Push-through shear values should be less than 1.

The structure is safe.
RESULT:-
The design of the pile using the vault is complete
