Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

Aim:- To check the wheel arch gap at particular point and also it's suitable for Europe or not.

Fender wheel arch:- It is semi-circular arch of fender design which is positioned above the tyre /wheel of the vehicle. 10mm the minimum gap requirement to pass the european regulation standered.

Fender:- It's the part of the vehicle which gives protection to the pedetrian and car form the small stone particle ,mud ,water etc. it is mounted with the bonnet ,hood and other part of the car. it's also gives the good look to the vehicle. In the earlier time we design full fender but in the current time we manufecture the half arch fender because it's cut the production cost.

Following step are involve make the sketch and to check the gap b/w the fender arch and wheel:-

1. firstly we take the datum plane.
2. sketch two line vertical and horizontal on to the plane.
3. take lines at angle of 30 degree and 50 degree left & right respectively.
4. take another line parallel to the horizontal line and the distance between both is 150mm
5. project the curve of fender arch wheel.
6. create the intersection point of the create line and projected curve.
7. take a line which passes through the point and use derived curve to create another line.
8. convert the line into the reference.
9. after project the points on the fender body.
10. finished the sketch.
11. measure the gap with help of simple measure tool avilable into the analysis section.
