Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
Aim :
To calculate the wheel arc gap at required points abd to check it passes the european standard or not.
Wheel Arch :
European standard for Wheel Arch :
- According to European standard, the wheel should be divided into 5 sections as shown in the above picture with SB as 30* from SA, SC as 50* from SA, SE as 150mm height from 0* intersecting wheel arch, SD as midpoint of SC and SE.
- The value of L at SA, SB, SC, SD, SE should be greater than 10mm according to european regulations.
analysing the given part file,
- The clearance between whell and wheel arch at SA is 43.5mm
- between whell and wheel arch at SB is 25.6mm
- between whell and wheel arch at SC is 38.4mm
- between whell and wheel arch at SD is 42.7mm
- between whell and wheel arch at SE is 47.6mm
