REPORT

ON

WHEEL ARCH AREA OF FENDER

UNDER THE GUIDANCE

OF

SKILL LYNCE

OBJECTIVE:-To calculate the wheel arch of the given fender and check for its eligibilty to pass or fail of european standards .

Wheel Arch Area:

  • The Wheel Arch area of the fender is usually designed for the purpose of protecting the BIW from stones and other objects on the road as well as the Pedestrians.
  • To check the clearance between the fender and the Wheel, there are certain standaeds all over the world, They ara
  • American Standard
  • European Standard
  • Japanese Standard

In this Challenge we are going to check the wheel arch clearance based on the Europen Standard.

The Main objective of this Standard to check the clearence between wheeel and wheel arch of finder according to the European standard the Clearence should be equal and greater than 10mm.

Procedure:

  • Create the datum plane on the outer adge of the wheel.
  • Create the centre axis.
  • Create the centre SB,SA,SC,SD,SE.
  • Create the section SB by Creating a inclined line of 30degree to the centre axis i.e SA
  • Creating the section SC by creating a inclined line of 50 degree to the centre axis.
  • The section SE is creating by placing the line fender at a distance of 150mm.
  • The Section SD is creating by the placing on the centre between the SC and SE.

  • Now using the extrude creating the surface for each section .

Now measure the clearance between the edge of the fender with the extrude edge.
