Data of Designing Fender
Design considerations for drip area-
- 150mm Distance from front end is kept for the headlamps in bumper.
- 200mm Distance from rear end is kept for the wiper assembly, some time it may excide and less also.
- Engine components should not be visible from outside. For this purpose initially 3 degree of angle & 9mm length is given.
- Embosses are given to the drip area to increase the strength.
- The gap between drip area and the engine compartment not less than by 10 mm.
- To avoid the springback effect drip depth should maximum 40 mm.
- Relief is provided so that maintenance low cost production
DESIGNED PART:-
