Aim: To design a front fender
Objective: To design a Mountings for given fender skin part by using mastersection
FENDER:
Fender is the US English term for the part of an automobile that frames a wheel well. Its primary purpose is to prevent sand, mud, rocks, liquids, and other road spray from being thrown into the air by the rotating tire.
When the vehicle is moving, tyres pick up syones and others and hurl them in all directions. Fenders are basically present to prevent any injuries to pedestrians and contain the motion of these particals. Most passenger automobiles have four fenders, one over each wheel. For vehices with a narrow car body that exposes the tire, the fender is an exposed curve over the top of the tire. For wide body vehicles that cover the tire, the fender forms the wheel well surrounding the tire, and is not directly visible from above the car boy.
Types of Fenders:
1) Full type Bumper
2) Half type Bumper
1) Full Bumper type: this type is usen at olden days and for manufacturing thinking the more Blank required which gets costlier for mass Production.
2) half Bumper type: this type of Fender which is using in present vehicles which save more material as it save money and Nesting will produce very well.

The given Requirments for this design is to create the mountings for Drip area, A Pillar, Sill side, Bumper region, Baffel area.
1) Drip mounting Area: it is main mounting for fender and it helps to cover the engine compartment for side portions. and also having design consideration for this mounting that is 150mm clearance from front of fender beacause for Head light assembly and 200 min for rear side clearance for Fender because Cowl which having motar assembly and wiper Assembly.

2) A- Pillar mounting Area: A pillar is already welded as we call as BIW so having to assemble with A-Pillar is very strong improvement.
