Equation plot and suspension system comparison
AIM: To plot the function y(x) = (x-1)*(x-3)^2*(x-9)^2 in simulink block.
MATHEMATICAL EQUATION:
y(x) = (x-1)*(x-3)^2*(x-9)^2
There are various simulink blocks used to plot the function. The simulink blocks are
- Subtract: This block used to subtract the input values given to it and gives single output.
- Ramp: This block is initially constant and increases with respect to time.
- Constant: It provides the real or complex values
- Product: It provides the multiplication of the given input values.
- Square: This block is used to square the input values.
- Scope: This block shows the result of ouput with respect to input values for the particular range in the form of graphs and plots.
- Display: It shows the final result of the model in the form of numbers.
SIMULINK MODEL

EXPLANATION:
The Ramp signal is used inorder to change the value of X. The Constant block are assigned to provide constant values such as 1,3and 5.The Ramp and Constant block is given as input to subtract block. The function of subtract block is to subtract the given input values and gives the result as output. The Ramp and Constant value of 3 and 9 are connected to square block through subtract 2 and subtract 3 block. The value of (x-3) and (x-9) are squared using square block. The result of (x-1),(x-3)and(x-9) are connected to product block. The result can be viewed in graph and displayed in display block
PLOT:
The plot for the given fumction is displayed for t=10 sec

CONCLUSION:
The given equation as been stimulated with the help of simulink model successfully.
AIM:
To compare the performance of diiferent suspension system using simulink model.
OBJECTIVE:
The suspension system is used to maxime the contact between the tire and road, provide good steering stability with good handling. It is responsible for driving comfort safely as the suspension carries the vehicle body and transmit the
all the force to the body and road.
SIMULATION MODEL:

In the above simulink model we can observe three different suspension system such as Shock absorber,Non linear spring,Variable translational spring.Mass spring and mass unspring are added to each system. The Tire Stiffness is connected to all system inorder to have the effect of tires. The velocity source block is used as input for each of the three suspension system. The non linear damper is connected in parallel with the non linear spring.Translational damper is connected with the variable translational spring. The scope displays the performance of the three suspension system. The output of the three system from the scope is attached to the spectral analyser.
OBJECTIVE:
The main objective is to compare the shock absorber ,non linear spring and variable Transaltional spring suspension system.
SHOCK ABSORBER:
Shock absorber is used to control the unwanted spring motion in form of damping. It uses oil and gases to absorb excess energy from the spring. It makes the rider feels comfortable. The diameter and pitch are same for the springcoil. The graph between the force and displacement are linear.

NON LINEAR SPRING:
It has a helical coil spring that extends an inconsistent amount of force as it work in load or torque.
The diameter and pitch are different for non linear spring.
The graph between the force and displacement are non linear .
VARIABLE SPRING:
The variable spring coils are closer to some areas and are wider in some other areas.
The spring is not constant or linear.
RESULT:

OBERVATION OF RESULT:
The above image shows the spring position and input velocity with respect to time. In time t=0 to t=20 all system are vibrate. From 20-40 time there is no input velocity. From 40-60 the variable spring begin to rise whereas the other spring rises slightly. From 80-100 the variable spring decreases and distortion. The shock absorber is best.
