Drafting of various geometries using Chamfer, Fillet tool in AutoCad
AIM:
To drafting of various geometrics using chamfer, fillet tool in Auto CAD.
INTRODUCTION:
AutoCAD has numerous drawing and modification tools. Among those below tools are used vast area of drawing.
These are,
Chamfer:
- An angled line that meets the end points of two straight 2D points.
- A sloped transition between two surfaces or adjacent faces on 3D solid.
- The distance and angles that we specify are applied in the order that we select the objects.
Fillet:
- An arc that is created as tangent between two 2D objects.
- A curved transition between two surfaces or adjacent faces on a 3D solid.
Offset:
- It is used to create concentric circles, parallel lines and parallel curves by selecting objects
- We can offset an object at a specified distance or through a point.
Object snap:
- OSNAP provide a way specify precise locations, such as end-point, mid-point, center, etc., on objects whenever we are prompted for a point within a command.
Rotate:
- This tool helps to rotate objects with respect to specified point.
- This happen by entering angle of rotation or zero angle.
Mirror:
- It helps to mirror the image we required.
- Select the drawing which want to mirror, and use mirror command to create a copy of this object with mirrored position.
