Door Arm Rest Week 8 Challenge

Door Arm Rest Week 8 Challenge:

Objective:

Creation of Door Arm rest and add thickness to it.

Tool:

Catia v5

Given data:

Class A surface and door for reference

Creation of tooling axis:

In this case i tried to create a tooling axis in compass method so i extracted surface then i untrimmed and create a point then created line in point direction method then i done draft analysis but it aint clear all the surfaces so i adjusted the compass the locked at the perticular angle which will clear all the surfaces then i created another line in there so' that will be our tooling axis.

Creation of class B surface:

And for rest surface i've extracted some surfaces from class A then untrimmed and extrapolated them

After that we've got proper surface

And give some edge fillets at required areas

Then i trimmed them together with base Surface

And now we've got a proper class B

Creation of class c surface:

I've created class C surface by creating boundry and sweeps along with tooling direction then at some where i had to create some multi section surfaces which are also along with tooling direction

Creation of closed surface body:

then i joined the class C with class A

then trimmed the class B with join of class A and C

And now we've got closed surface body and i created soild by closesurface

And now we've got perfect solid

Tree structure of geometrical set:

Draft analysis report on class A:

Draft analysis report on class B:

My suggestion to class A team:

While performing draft analysis class A and some area of class C got cleard with main tooling axis but as for class C should've cleared with main tooling direction at all areas of itself but it ain't even if i creat a proper tooling axis so' i had to make them to get cleared with side core tooling axis.
