Design of backdoor
BACK DOOR DESIGN
1 INTRODUCTION
The back door or tailgate is in the back portion of the car, where luggage and spare parts are being stored. The cars are defined based on the car's back door as a sedan, hatchback, coupe.

2 DESIGN IN NX CAD
- The styling team gives the parent file of the outer portion of the back door.
- The back door is being checked for errors. Once all the errors are rectified, it is taken as a working part.
- OFFSET SURFACES, LAW EXTENSION, TRIM SHEETS commands are used to create the inner panel.
- If any surface errors are there, the sheet can be cut using the OFFSET CURVE IN FACE command. BRIDGE CURVE is used to connect two surfaces. STUDIO SURFACE command is used to create the surface.
- Once the half portion of the inner panel is created, the solid body is created using the THICKEN command.
- For HEMMING, an offset surface is created with a distance of 0.75+0.2+0.75+0.2+0.75 mm.
- A curve is taken as an offset with 0.5 mm, and the LAW EXTENSION command is used to create surfaces.

- FACE BLEND command is used to create hemming.
- Reliefs are provided at the corners

- Reinforcements are created at the inner panels.

- DRAT ANALYSIS, the outer and inner panel are in green color, so the draft angle is correct

3 PARTS IN BACK DOOR
- GLASS SHIELD COVER

- MOTOR MOUNTING

- LATCH AND SOCKET MOUNTING

- MASTIC POINTS

- BACKLIGHTS
4 CONCLUSION
The back door is created from the current project, and a lot of commands in the NX CAD are observed and studied. The parts in the back door are studied.
