Design of backdoor

BACK DOOR

The back ddoor or the tail gate end is the pannel that covers the boot of an automobile . it ennable to access to the luggage area . A hinge allows the backdoor to raise while the devices like string or gasstray is used to hold the door in the position

it consist of leanear pannel and 2-3 outer pannels . it is made up of steel and aluminum . the most of the car back door area made up of aluminum inorder to reduce itz weight . Thickness will bw from 0.65-0.75mm

tailgate have tofullfill similar requirments and are subjected to same design as same as the bannet .Back door are hinged and open upward they greatly benifit to reduce weight in order to easy handling

Emobossing

embossing is used for providing addditional strength and to th ddirect force towardds the hinge an boddy of the car .The result is a three-dimensional effect that emphasizes a particular area of your design.

for inner pannel to act good reinforcement it need to disparse the stress out wards hence the emboss was designed that the force are outward and or away from the center

REINFORCEMENTS

instead of making the whole inner pannel as a thick seater ,a sheet with less thickness in addition to local reinforcement is provided to increase the strength of th component and reduce the weight

MASTIC SEALENT

as we know that the main purpose of the outerpannel is for astetic look.thus we cannot use bolt or wealding .therefore this must be done by using mastic sealent and heamming .A mastic sealant is a type of liquid sealant that cures in an elastic state, thus making it flexible while holding the bond of the surfaces that has attached together. It adheres to just about any material making an all-purpose type of sealant. Wood, aluminum, glass, marble , and even duct board are all standard applications for mastic sealant.

it is plced between the outer andd inner panel initialy is it in past form but after the hot furnace batch it gets hardened thus joining the outer and inner pannel mastic sealent has the tendency to increase the strent of the pannel and has the influence of 80mm

Hemming

Hemming and seaming are two similar metalworking processes in which a sheet metal edge is rolled over onto itself. Hemming is the process in which the edge is rolled flush to itself, while a seam joins the edges of two materials. Hemming is a sheet metal forming process in which sheets are joined by bending it usually to 180°. Automotive body panels and automotive parts such as deck-lids, trunk-lids, doors, hoods and tailgates are formed by hemming process. In this process, usually a sheet is bent with the help of inner sheet in three different stages.
