AIM :- Create the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods. You need to use the Line tool to create the geometries. Where required you need to use the circle tool.
Please read the drawings and find out the missing dimensions before working on the sketches.
Note: Use the Imperial Template and the Decimal Units to draft the features. Dimensions are there for
references.
Introduction:-
For this drawing purpose firstly we know about the coordinate systems in autocad ;
Coordinates system is as system where numbers are used to determine the unique position of point and other geometric points.also coordinates in autoCAD can be set by mouse,input the values of coordinate in the command line and other enter coordinate using dynamic input.
Coordinate systems are as follows;
1. Absolute coordinates system
2. Relative coordinates system
- Relative rectangular coordinates
- Relative polar coordinates
3. Direct distance entry method
Explanation;
1.Absolute coordinate
- In this system ,all points are established at some distance in the X AND Y axis from the common origin.
2. Relative coordinates system
- Relative coordinates are locations defined by their distance from a reference point.
- In autocad , when we using plot a first point it was always a absolute point , but in this system after first point all other points relates each other not to the original axis.
Relative coordinates system also of two kind;
A. Relative rectangular coordinates
- A Relative rectangular coordinatesallows you to specify a position along the X- axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis (if needed) to locate a point relative to the last point you specified.
B. Relative polar coordinates
- The system specifies the lenght and the angle of the specific point respect to the other previous point.
- In the relative polar system points are established by the typing lenght size.
3. Direct distance entry method
- It is another popular method used for drawing different shapes in the autoCAD .
- The direct distance method unable to user to draw an object by simply pointing the cursor in the desired direction and entering the required distance in the command.
Command which are used in this drafting are as below;
- Line command
- Circle command
- DIMSTYLE command
Procedure to be done while solving this all questions is as below;
- Firstly run the autocad 2023 from the computer
- Then, click the start drawing
- Type STARTUP in the command line
- And enter the value of startup as 1
- Then, go to application menu and click on new
- Then the dialog box appear and choose unit system
- Then LIMITS to be set using command tab, the lower left corner set as 0,0, and upper right corner as 100, 100 .
