Creation of geometries by Coordinate system methods using AutoCad

Aim:

a) To create the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods and we need to use the Line tool and find out the missing dimensions

b) To draw the profile and the trusses using any coordinate system methods. The dimensions are there for references.

Introduction:

In autocad there are three types of coordinate system

1.Absolute coordinate system

2.Relative coordinate system

  • Relative rectangular coordinate system
  • Relative polar coordinate s

3.Direct distance entry

Commands used:

  • Line command
  • Dimension linear command
  • text command
  • circle command

Procedure:

P1 Drawing:

Absolute co ordinate system:

  • Choose the line tool
  • Line specify the first point (2,1)
  • Specify the next point (8,1)
  • Simularly (8,2) (3,2) (3,7) (8,7) (8,8) (2,8)
  • Finally close the point

Relative rectangular co ordinates system:

  • Choose the line tool
  • Line specify the first point (2,1)
  • Specify the next point (@6,0)
  • Simularly (@0,1) (@-5,0) (@0,4) (@5,0) (@0,1) (@-6,0)
  • Finally close the point

Relative polar coordinate system:

  • Choose the line tool
  • Line specify the first point (@6<90)

  • Finally close the point

Direct distance entry:

  • Choose the line tool
