Challenge

Creating various 3D Models like Furniture, Footing, Girder, Column drop with panel and Gable Wall in AutoCad

AIM: TO CREATE A 3D OF THE FURNITURE ELEMENT AS PER THE GIVEN DRAWING

INTRODUCTION :

3D modeling in autocad includes 3D solids , surface , meshes and wireframe objects

TYPE OF 3D MODELS :

Several type of 3D modeling are available in autocad . each of these 3D modeling techologies offer a different set of capabilites.

  • wireframe modeling is useful for intial design iteration and as reference geometry , serving as a 3D framework for subsequent modeling or modification
  • surface modelling offers fine control over curved surface for precise manipulation and analysis
  • mesh modeling provides freeform sculpting , creasing , and smoothing capabilites .

COMMANDS USED :

  1. UNITS
  2. LIMITS
  3. RECTANGLE
  4. LINE
  5. EXTRUDE
  6. UCS
  7. MOVE
  8. SUBTRACT

PROCEDURE

STEP 1

  1. Open the AUTOCAD software from desktop
  2. on the home page of the autocad , click on new drawing
  3. switch the model space into 3D modelling from the status bar

STEP 2 :

  1. Type Un and set the units and precision as 0'0"
  2. set the units as Inches in the insertion scale
  3. limits 0,0 and 50', 50'
  4. Type z for zoom and enter a
  5. Type rectangle and male rectangle of 2'6" and 3'
  6. select EXTRUDE tool and select object and extrude it give height of 2'6"
  7. Now use of ucs command
  8. select rect command and make 2'8" and 2'4"
  9. select the extrude and extrude the object at height of 2'4" and thickness 2"
  10. And subtract the outer to inner one

AIM :

TO CREATE THE 3D MODEL OF AN ISOLATED FOOTING AS PER THE GIVEN DRAWING .

COMMAND USED

  1. UNITS
  2. LIMITS
  3. UCS
  4. RECTANGLE
  5. MOVE
  6. LOFT
  7. EXTRUDE

PROCEDURE

STEP 1

  1. Set limits and units in autocad
  2. Type zoom and entre a
  3. select rectangle and make rectangle of length 2' x 2'
  4. And make another triangle of dimension of 1' x 1'
  5. select the move and move the triangle in y direction
  6. Then use loft and select diagram to loft
  7. now use top view and use usc ion
  8. Select rectangle and make similar triangle of 2' x 2'
  9. Extrude the diagram in Z direction at height of 6"

AIM: TO CREATE THE 3D MODEL OF A DROP COLUMN WITH THE PANNEL AS SHOWN IN ISOMETRIC SECTION VIEW .

COMMAND USED

  1. UNITS
  2. LIMITS
  3. CIRCLE
  4. REGION
  5. RECTANGLE
  6. EXTRUDE
  7. MOVE
  8. CONE

PROCEDURE

  1. Open auto cad and set limits and use zoom to zoom all
  2. Use circle command to draw circle of dia 1'6"
  3. select the extrude and extrude the circle at height of 10'
  4. select cone and draw cone of dia 1'6'' and radius 1'6'' and height of 1'
  5. Put this cone above the circle
  6. NOw use rectangle and draw a rectangle of 4'6'' x 4'6'' and extrude the height of 6''
  7. And use shaded to show the diagram

AIM : TO CREATE THE 3D MODEL OF A WALL WITH THICKNESS OF 9" AS PER THE GIVEN DRAWING

COMMAND USED

  1. UNITS
  2. LIMITS
  3. RECTANGLE
  4. LINE
  5. OFFSET
  6. EXTRUDE
  7. MOVE
  8. JOIN
  9. TRIM
  10. UNION

PROCEDURE

  1. Set limit and units and And also use zoom
  2. select rectangle and make rectangle of 10' x 9''
  3. select the line and and draw at centre of rectangle and cut into two parts
  4. select the offset tool and offset at distance of 1'6''
  5. select boundary and create boundary in between triangle
  6. use extrude and extrude the triangle at height of 12'6''
  7. select rectangle and create door at height of 7'
  8. use ucs to create triangle in diagram and extrude the triangle in y direction 9''
  9. give dimension to the diagram

RESULT : ALL THE DIAGRAM ARE FORMED ACCORDING TO GIVEN DIMENSION AND DRAWING
