1) Using Dynamo create a set of sinusoidal points and create a curve and create a surface out of the curve.
AIM:
To create a set of sinusoidal points, create a curve & to create a surface out of the curve.
Introduction:
- Dynamo is a visual programming tool that works with Revit.
- Dynamo extends the power of Revit by providing access to the Revit API( Application Programming interface)in a more accessible manner.
- Pather than typing code with dynamo you create programs by manipulating graphic elements called "nodes" It's an approach to programming better suited for visually oriented types, like architects, designers,& engineers in Dynamo each node performs a specific task.
- Nodes have inputs & outputs, the outputs from one node are connected to inputs an another using "wires". The program or graph flows from node to node through the network of wires.
- The result is a graphic representation of the steps required to achieve the end design.
Procedure:
- Open the revit software,& click on the dynamo in the manage tab.

- After click the dynamo new tab will be appers & cick the new.

- Type the Integer slider & inser the dynamo & cpoy three times.
- Create the three code boxes in the dynamo screen & give the name to the code box individually as start end & steps as shown below.

- Change the name.
- Next insert the Range in the dynamo & connect it.

- Next type point by coordinates & copy the another poit bu coordinates.
- again type the code block & insert the dynamo.

- Type the math.sin & insert it.

- Conect the renge to point by coordinate X we will get the points.
- Assume the code block as 50.
- connect rang to math.sin & connect rang to another point by coordinate X.

2) Create a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo . Using the tools available in dynamo link the lines to appropriate model elements in Revit by choosing the wall types and wall parameters. Make use of the sliders to slide through the height of the wall and length of the wall.
AIM:
To create a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo using the tools available in dynamo link.
Introduction:
- Dynamo in simple terms is a plugin for revit that enhances your design by giving more functionality to revit that would otherwise be limited due to the nature of the software.
- To compare, like grass hoper is a plugin for thin to enhance its modelling abilities, Dynamo is likewise the enhancing plugin for revit.
- The node-based logic environment can target elements within a Revit model & mainipulate them as long as Revit's back-end system allows.
Procedure:
- OPen the dynamo & type the integer sliders & copy the another integer slider & name them as X & Y & give the minimum integer value as 100, as shown below.

- Type point by coordinate & copy the 3 more point by coordinate.

- connect X to 1st point by cordinate X.
- Connect X to 2nd point by coordinate Y.

- Connect Y to 2nd point by coordinate X.
- Connect Y to 3rd point by coordinate Y.

- Type line by start point end point & copy it 3 times.

- Connect 1st point by coordinate to 1st line of start point.
- Connect 2nd point by coordinate to 1st line of end point.

- Connect 1st point by coordinate to 4th line of end point.
- Connect 2nd point by coordinate to 2nd line of start point.
- Connect 3nd point by coordinate to 2nd line of end point.
- Connect 3nd point by coordinate to 3nd line of start point.

- Connect 4th point by coordinate to 3rd line of end pont.
- Connect 4th point by coordinate to 4th line of start point.

- Type the list create & press + botton in 3 times.
- Connect 1st line to item 0
- Connect 2st line to item 1
- Connect 3st line to item 2
- Connect 4st line to item 3

- Type the levels , wall types & integer slider.

- click level 1.
- wall type as generic 12"
- integer slider number as 10.
- Type wall curve & height.

- Connect list to curve.
- level to level.
- wall type to wall type.
- Integer slider to height.

- Type floor type & insert the dynamo.
- Type floor by outline type&level.

- Connect list curve to floor by outline curve.
- Connect floor type to floor type.
- Connect level to level.

Result:
- Created a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo using the toools available in dynamo link.
- The height of the wall & lenght of the wall has been changed using the sliders.

3) Create an array of model elements in Revit. Use dynamo to vary the properties of model elements by using the slider or code block
AIM:
To create an array of model elements in Revit using dynamo to vary the properties if model element by using the slider or code block
Introduction:
- Dynamo is a visual programming tool that works with Revit.
- Dynamo extends the power of Revit by providing access to the API in a more acessible manner.
- Rather than typing code, with Dynamo you create programs by manipulating graphic elemens called'nodes'.
- It's an approach to programming better suited for visually oriented types, like architects, designers, & engineers.
Procedure:
- Open the Revit software using the architectural defaults.
- Slect the architectural 4 columns & place it.

- Open the dynamo & type model elements option.

- Type set Rotation & insert it.
- Type integer slider & insert it.

- Click the select option & select the 4 column & it will be assign to the select model element.

- Type the angle of 45 degree in the integer slider.
- Connect select model element to family instance.
- Connect Integer slider to degree.

Result:
Created an array of model elements in Revit using dynamo to vary the properties of model elements bu using the slider or code block.

4) Create a conceptual mass in Revit and develop a parametric column by dividing the surfaces and apply the concepts similar to used in parametric walkway modelling. Use triangular bent or square shaped panels to add finish to the parametric column
AIM:
To create a conceptual mass in Revit & develop a parametric column by dividing the surfaces & to apply the concepts similar to use in parametric walkway modelling.
Introduction:
- The conceptual massing environment in Revit is a free-from work environment which allows you to explore & iterate any design concepts quickly.
- In this environment, there are no wall, doors, or roof, only forms & relationships.
- The first time you enter the massing environment, it can be a little confusing.
Procedure:
- Open the revit software & select the new option in the family.

- select the conceptual mass option & press open.

- Open the elevation & another elevation is created at the distance of 12'

- Go to floor plan & select create option.
- click the model line & click the spline through points.
- create the shape of the point.
