c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
a. Floor Plans with Annotations
b. Elevations
c. Sections

6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing

7) Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model

Your Answers

1) Select the type of structure you want to build from one of the three below:
a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
b. Office Buildings
c. School

The type of structure is Office building

2) Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC

1. The open space around the building shall not be less than 4.5m

2. The type of construction is type 2 construction The FAR value for Business Shall be taken as 2.9

3. The Plot size is taken as 22.5x 14.16

4. my project is in a plain area. it is in a commercial area. road width in front of my structure is 70ft.

5. MODELLING REQUIREMENTS FROM NCB ARE: an exit must be provided in every building so as to permit the safe escape of employees in case of earthquake or fire hazards. the minimum height of the basement should be 2.5m and the maximum size should be 4.5m.

3) Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs

AIM: Using a Structural model, including the following Components based on the type of structure

PROCEDURE:

1. Open Revit software and opt Structural template

2. Set the unit to mm

3. Now in the Ribbon go into the structure tab And draw a horizontal & vertical Grid with the help of the Grid option

4. Go to the elevation and increase the number of levels up to the roof and change their names

5. Now go to the Ribbon Select isolated footing and then place the footing as per the grid marking

6. Change the interface into the 3d

7. Now same for the Column go into the ribbon Select the column option for size 300x300mm and place it over each footing

8. Now chose the Beam option from the ribbon and assign Groundbeam and ceiling level beam

9. Change the interface to elevation

10. Now Determine the Slabs in the structure With the help of the Floor Option in the ribbon

11. Also determine the structure wall and also providing a Shaft opening for stairs or elevated using the shaft option

RESULT:

.

4) Using the architectural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Wall Layout with appropriate material and finishing
b. Exterior façade with fancy finish
c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model

AIM: To use the Archituctir mode, including the following components based on the type of structure selected in the question

PROCEDURE:

1. Copy the grid for the structure plan in the Architecture plan

2. Draw a wall along the boundary. draw the interior partitions and place the required furniture and components in the plan and change the

3. draw the roof by making a rectangle along all the sides of the second floor.

4. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants)

  1. to design the exterior of the building create the boundary space using the floor tool on the ground floor. Make sure that it follows the space alloted by the NBC. Use the floor tool under the architectural tab
  2. Now add the Exterior elements for the building. Use the components tool under the architectural tab
  3. Add trees benches
  4. Then check 3D view

  1. Add the interior components using the component tool under the architecture tab
  2. First add the rooms and room seperator using the room tool under architecture tab. Remember to rename the room tags according to its purpose
  3. Now add the components with respect to the room
  4. Mirror the components and copy to all levels. DO the smae for doors and windows
  5. Add the windows
  6. Add the doors

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
a. Floor Plans with Annotations

b. Elevations

c. Sections

6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing

AIM: Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images in the drawing sheets

PROCEDURE:

in order to render any figure go to the render option from the ribbon and change the settings you want and click renders figure will turn realistic as shown below

  • To show the rendered view, first create camera view using the camera tool under the view tab and 3D view
  • Now go to the created 3D views and render the image

7) Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model

AIM:- To print the set of drawing sheets created and to submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model.

INTRODUCTION:-

  • The Print tool prints the current window, a visible portion of the current window, or selected views and sheets.
  • You can send the desired drawings to the printer, to a PRN or PLT file, or to a PDF file.

PROCEDURE:

  • TO print the sheets into PDF format, on the sheet view, press CTRL+P
  • The print dialog box will appear
  • Select as below and save with appropriate name
