- Rectangle - To draw a rectangle - command "REC" - select the first point - click on a dimension then enter the value of length, press enter, and then the value of the width of the rectangle, press enter.
- Offset - To draw lateral distance from a specified line. Command "O" - select the line (specified line) that gives the offset distance - click on the desired side where we need to make an offset.
- Trim - To delete the unwanted portion of a line/object. Command "TR" - select the line/object from which it thas to be deleted - enter - select the line/object to be deleted, and press enter.
- Extend - To extend the line to another line at a distance. Command "EX" - select the line to which it has to be extended - press enter - select the line to be extended - enter.
- Fillet - To join the corners or curve the corners. Command "F" - give fillet radius and select the objects. If the radius is specified as zero, then it will form a corner.
- Horizontal construction line - Horizontal line which extends to infinity, Command "XL" enter - H enter - click where we want to place the line.

- Mirror - To create a mirrored image of an object. Command "MI" - select the source object - select the base point - draw the mirror plane, the mirror object will be created on the opposite side of the object concerning the mirror plane. If we need to retain the source object, click on "no" for erase option.
- Copy - To copy an object - command "CO", select the source object then select the base point - then copy the object to the required point. Click on "no" to erase the source object, if we need to retain the source object.
- Divide - To divide a line into different line segments. Command "DIV" - select the line and give the number of line segments to obtain - enter.
- Text - To write the specifications/information. Command "TEXT" - enter - specify the point - specify the height - specify the degrees.
- Dimension - To specify the dimensions of the drawing. Command "DIM" - enter - drag the mouse to the endpoints of the desired object's dimensions.
- Layer - To place each object in a separate layer so that, all the objects in one layer will be selected with a single selection and we can change the properties of all objects of the layer by changing the properties of the layer. Select layer properties from the toolbar, layer properties manager dialogue box appear - we can create, delete, and change the properties of the layers.
