Creating a Wardrobe detailed drawing, Floor Plan, Kitchen Layout and Column Detail using AutoCad

1. AIM

Draw the elevation and details of a wardrobe as shown in the Figure below. After sketching, you need to provide the dimensions and text with the use of layers. Use proper text styles and dimension methods to document it. Also, assume dimensions, wherever needed.

Note: All dimensions are in mm.

PROCEDURE

Set the unit using the UNIT command to decimal.

To create the carcase elevation, draw the vertical line using the LINE command equal to 2600 units.

Using the OFFSET command create offset at a distance of 365 units, 1200 units, 1223 units, and 12 units.

Close the figure using the LINE command.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

For creating the partitions, offset the horizontal lines at the distance of 12 units, 508 units, 1180 units, and 900 units using the OFFSET command.

Using the TRIM command, clear the “hanger space”.

To create the front elevation, draw the vertical line using the LINE command equal to 2600 units.

Using the OFFSET command create offset at a distance of 365 units, 630 units, 630 units, and 630 units.

Close the figure using the LINE command.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

OFFSET the horizontal line by 12 units, 488 units, and 2100 units.

OFFSET the bottom line by 100 units.

For creating the side elevation, draw the vertical line using the LINE command equal to 2600 units.

Using the OFFSET command create an offset at a distance of 630 units.

Close the figure using the LINE command.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

OFFSET the horizontal line by 520 units, 1180 units, and 900 units.

For creating the section 1, draw the vertical line using the LINE command equal to 2600 units.

Using the OFFSET command creates an offset at a distance of 630 units.

Close the figure using the LINE command.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

OFFSET the horizontal line by 520 units, 1180 units, and 900 units.

Divide the 1180 unit part into 4 sections by using the DIVIDE command.

Draw the outer boundary of 20 units using the LINE and OFFSET commands.

For creating the section 2, draw the vertical line using the LINE command equal to 2600 units.

Using the OFFSET command creates an offset at a distance of 365 units.

Close the figure using the LINE command.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

OFFSET the horizontal line by 500 units, 1160 units, and 900 units.

Draw the boundaries around all the lines by using the OFFSET command equal to 20 units.

By using the FILLET command, fillet the internal boundaries.

Draw the outer boundary of 20 units using the LINE and OFFSET commands.

Using the MTEXT command, type in the names and details of the created figures for texts.

In layer properties, create two “new layers”.

Name it as “DIMENSION” and “TEXT”

Assign 0.05mm line weight to both the layers.

Enter DIMENSION LINEAR command: DIMLIN

Specify first extension line origin:

Specify second extension line origin:

Left-click to exit the command.

Mention all the dimensions of the created figures

Select all the texts and transfer them to the TEXT layer.

Select all the dimension lines and transfer them to the DIMENSION layer.
