Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using AutoCad

TASK 1:

AIM:

To sketch the layout of a residence as shown in the Figure 1. Consider all dimensions as reference to sketch the unit plan. Also the text in the layout are only for reference. Assume the missing dimensions. Also, refer zthe schedule for size of the doors.

PROCEDURE:

• Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD 2023
• Click on START DRAWING .DWG File
• In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
• Enter new value of startup: 1
• Go to Application Menu and select New
• Next select the 'Engineering' unit system from the 'Advanced Setup' option.
• Set the limits by entering LIMITS in the Command tab. The lower-left corner is specified as 0,0, and the upper-right corner is specified as 100,100.

Commands used:

• Line command,
• Dimlinear command,
• Text command,
• Circle command,
• Offset,
• Trim,
• Extend,
• Hatch.

TASK 2:

AIM:

To sketch the seating plan for an outdoor canopy. Assume the dimensions for the seating. Also, consider the dimensions in mm.

PROCEDURE:

• Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD 2023
• Click on START DRAWING .DWG File
• In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
• Enter new value of startup: 1
• Go to Application Menu and select New
• Next select the 'Decimal' unit system from the 'Advanced Setup' option.
• Set the limits by entering LIMITS in the Command tab. The lower-left corner is specified as 0,0, and the upper-right corner is specified as 100,100.

• Dimlinear command,
• Text command,
• Circle command,
• Offset,
• Trim,
• Extend.

TASK 3:

AIM:

To sketch the part plan for the toilers and utilities room. Consider the outer wall thickness as 300mm and inner wall thickness as 150mm. Also, assume the missing dimension, Texts, dimensions, and hatches are only for references. Also, symbols for toilets and w/c are also for references.

PROCEDURE:

• Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD 2023
• Click on START DRAWING .DWG File
• In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
• Enter new value of startup: 1
• Go to Application Menu and select New
• Next select the 'Decimal' unit system from the 'Advanced Setup' option.
• Set the limits by entering LIMITS in the Command tab. The lower-left corner is specified as 0,0, and the upper-right corner is specified as 100,100.

• Dimlinear command,
• Text command,
• Circle command,
• Offset,
• Trim,
• Extend,
• Hatch.
