OBJECTIVE:- Do Benchmarking Analysis for the presently available cars in the market for the given case.
WHAT IS:-
BenchMarking:-
- Benchmarking compares business processes and performance metrics to industry bests and best practices from other companies.
- Benchmarking in the automobile industry involves a structured comparison between similar products, services, or processes on some dimensions of performance.
- For example, It can be used to compare the availability and delivery of features in a product and in this form often provides the basis of consumer tests and reviews. These look at products and services and provide recommendations based on which is best or some form of ranking amongst competitors.
- It is particularly useful when comparing not only performance but also practice- in other words, what do the different organizations do to enable that performance to be delivered?
- Process benchmarking of this kind can operate at several levels:-
- Between similar processes in the same factory or service branch
- Between different companies or factories or branches
- Between different competing organizations, etc.

CONCLUSION:-
- All Benchmarking is done for big vehicles like SUV ( Mainly 5 seater ).
- All the vehicles are within the given range of the cash flow i.e 8 to 10 Lakh.
- By observing and comparing all the vehicles in the 6 slides above, we can conclude that all the vehicle of 3 star can be considered.
- Between the 3 star vehicles as Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii has to visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once in a month, Mahindra XUV300 will the perfect car for them, as it gives 21.0 kmpl Mileage on Highway so it will be good for transportion. As Pughazhyendhii is fond of big cars, This car will be good choice.
