PURPOSE:-
The purpose of the study is to help Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii chooses the best car which fulfills his necessity by benchmarking the latest available cars in the market so that he gets a suitable car for him and his family.
CASE:-
Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, a five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him options so that he will buy a good car for his family.
BENCHMARKING:-
Benchmarking is the process of measuring key business metrics and practices and comparing them—within business areas or against a competitor, industry peers, or other companies around the world—to understand how and where the organization needs to change to improve performance.
In simple words, benchmarking is the process of comparing the product, services, or processes of other competitor companies to survive, adapt and grow in this fast-growing world of technology. There are 4 main types of benchmarking

FORD ECO-SPORT:-
- Ford eco-sport can be ruled out because Mr.Pughazheyndhii has to travel with his 5 family members to his native place Madurai which is about 500kms away and the FORD ECO-SPORT is not comfortable for 5people to travel for around 500kms as the rear seat is confined and also the boot space is lesser when compared to its competitors so that the luggage for 5 people is difficult to board.
MARUTI SUZUKI S-CROSS:-
- S-Cross is very spacious and comfortable for 5 people for long trips, but the only factor which makes us rule out S-Cross is that the car does not have good horsepower and torque when compared to the other cars on the list. For cruising at a good speed on the highways, this car is unsatisfactory when compared to other cars on the list.
KIA SONET:-
- Kia Sonet also has a lack of rear-seat space for 5 people for a long drive. And also Kia Sonet gives a stiff ride, it is not supple. So Sonet can be removed from the list.
HYUNDAI VENUE:-
- Hyundai Venue also has also a lack of rear-seat space. And also it is a 3 cylinder engine that results in much more noise and vibration when compared to the other cars on the list so, VENUE can be ruled out.
WHY NEXON?
I strongly recommend Mr.Pughazheyndhii to buy a TATA NEXON for the following reasons,
- NEXON is a midsegment SUV with good looking style.
- NEXON has the best build quality and it scores 5-stars on the safety crash test
- As it has good torque and horsepower the driving ease and fun are high.
- Although the power is high, the car gives 16-18kmpl on the city and almost 21kmpl on highways.
- The rear-seat space is comfortable for 3 adults.
- It has a fantastic ground clearance which takes us to any unpleasant roads.

I suggest Mr.D.S.Pughazheyndhii to buy a TATA NEXON. TATA NEXON satisfies Mr.Pughazheyndhii's every need. NEXON can be used for his regular office use as it gives a good mileage in the city and a stress-free ride. NEXON gives a comfortable ride for him as well as his family when he visits his native place Madurai.
