BENCHMARKING :
- Benchmarking in the automobile industry involves a structured comparison between similar products, services or processes on some dimensions of performance. In other words it is the comparison of products which are already there in the market and any positive points that I can improve to my design to provide new features and discarding the negative points of parent product and carrying some features of the parent product.
- For example: It can be used to compare the availability and delivery of features in a product and in this form often provides the basis of consumer tests and reviews. These look at product and services and provide recommendations based on which is best or some form of ranking amongst competitors. It is particularly useful when comparing not only performance but also practice.
Process benchmarking of this kind can operate at several levels :
- Between similar processes in the same factory or service branch.
- Between different factories or service branches.
- Between different competing organizations.
- Between different sectors using the same process.
Based on the given conditions of Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii I would like to compare the following cars:

CONCLUSION : I would like to suggest Tata Nexon for Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii considering all the conditions provided. I suggest this car because it has high city mileage which is needed to avoid the city traffic while he is driving from home to work and vice versa. And this car also has good boot space to carry lot of luggage while going for trips. Although the boot space is less compared to Renault kiger and Kia sonet but their city mileage is low and I think Tata nexon boot space is enough for any trips. And I am sure that any Tata Nexon model in the given price range will fulfill his needs.
