Project Objective :- In This Project, I am Going to Suggest a Big Car for Mr.D.S. Pugazhendhi Under 8 to 10 Lakhs on Road for Official and Family Purpose Traveling Distance Around 500km.

• TATA NEXON (XE DIESEL).

• MAHINDRA XUV 300 (W4 DIESEL).

• FORD FIGO (TITANIUM 1.5 TDCi).

• HONDA AMAZE (E DIESEL).

01 - TATA ALTROZ

PRO :-

• Turbo-petrol is vastly superior to the n/a petrol. Altroz finally gets the petrol engine it deserves.

• 1.2T offers good driveability & satisfactory performance.

• Looks absolutely stunning! Solid build too.

• Nice interior with good quality parts & adequate space.

• Accommodating 345-litre boot is among the biggest of the segment.

• Mature on-road behaviour, including at highway speeds.

• 5-star NCAP safety rating! Safety package includes dual airbags, CSC, brake reminder etc.

• Enjoyable Harman 8-speaker ICE. One of the better audio systems in this segment.

• Impressive kit (auto headlamps & wipers, cruise control, leatherette seats, adjustable armrest).

CONS :-

• Not a hot hatch! Performance is fair, but not explosive like the Polo TSI. 0-100 in 11.9 seconds.

• Max revs of merely 5,500 rpm! That's way too low for a petrol.

• The Altroz turbo-petrol inexplicably makes 9 BHP & 30 Nm lesser than the Nexon.

• No automatic gearbox option in a market that loves its ATs.

• Suspension has a firm edge at low speeds (16" rim variants). Bad roads will bother you.

• Service visit every 6 months / 7,500 km (1 year / 10,000 km is the norm today).

• Some missing features (auto-dimming IRVM, thinner spare tyre on top trims, split-folding rear seat).

• Tata's after-sales service quality is a hit or miss. Remains a gamble.

• Concerns over niggles in a freshly-baked Tata product.

• Best in class turbo changed 1.5 Diesel Engine with 23.9kmpl Mileage.

• Decent aesthetic and sport look.

• Automatic transmissions. Decent Boot space 350L.

• Euro NCAP 5-Star Rating ( Safari Car).

CONS : -

• Lesser Space of Rear Seats.

03 - MAHINDRA XUV 300

Pro : -

• Powerful 1497CC Diesel engine.

• Large width Compared to other cars.

Cons : -

• Less mileage.

• Lesser space of Rear seats.

• Less ground Clearance.

• Less Boot space of 259L.

04 - FORD FIGO

Pro and Cons : -

Pro : -

• That makes it an attractive buy for those on a tight budget.

• It is also a very spacious car and offers great legroom and headroom by small car standards.

• The Figo also boasts of more features for its price across variants when compared to other cars in the segment.

• If that wasn’t enough to lure you into buying the Figo it also has the lowest maintenance cost, even lower than Maruti! It also offers good ride quality and is comfortable for long drives.

Cons : -

• Like all things there is a flipside to the Figo as well.

• It doesn’t have enough power (70 bhp petrol and 68 bhp diesel) and won’t quite cut it for you if you are an enthusiastic driver.

• Despite its lack of power the Figo is not so great on the mileage front either with a claimed, 16 kmpl for the petrol and 20 kmpl for the diesel.

• Neither does the Figo have the best interiors in the segment; rather its interiors are below par for a premium hatch.

• Then there is the most prevalent issue with the Figo; it hits speed breakers and its underbody gets scraped on potholes with all passengers on board.

05 - HONDA AMAZE

Pro : -

• Diesel has a great mileage, will give mileage of 22kmpl easily in city and 25kmpl on highways.

• S variant is most value for money variant and 2nd pro is that amaze have an global NCAP rating of 4/5 stars.

• Premium interiors with black + beige combinations.

• Biggest boot in segment of 420L.

• Looks - looks are personal preferences but amaze has best looks in comparison to its competitors ( Swift Dzire, Aspire, Tigor, Ameo and Aura).

Cons : -

• Even though the Amaze has a global NCAP rating of 4/5 stars but there are only 2 airbags provided even in the top variant.

• Only halogen setup in headlights, even in top models ( in segment cars provide projectors ).

• The gap between the Tyre and the fender is very much, which just makes the car look bad from the sides.

• The suspension and all are visible from the sides, I personally own a honda amaze s variant and there are 17 inch alloys in it and still the gap is very much. And the stock tyres are 14 inch so just think how much of a gap is there.

• Gaps are visible near the glove box which doesn't look good and makes sounds during drive.

• U do get steering mounted controls but none of them is illuminated which is of no use at night.

Conclusion :-

I would suggest 03. MAHINDRA XUV 300.

if the buyer prefers MANUAL TRANSMISSION and budget is a bit high.

it has the best ground clearance of 210mm and the largest Boot Capacity of 400L.

If the buyer prefers AUTOMATICA TRANSMISSION over manual.

I would suggest 04. TATA NEXON, it has a 1497CC Turbocharged engine with 3 driving modes. Economy city and sport models.

It also decent ground clearance of 209 mm and Boot Capacity 350L.it gives a good mileage of 23.97 kmpl and also Euro NCAP 5-Star

Rating for SAFETY.
