REPORT ON BENCHMARKING AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE CAR.
Mr. Pugahazhuendii's statement for the requirements for their new car is expected to be reliable in a highly crowded city, should comprise five seats, Comfortable for long rides, Hasslefree Daily commuting, and be Under a budget of 8 to 10 lakhs. The specification for the car segment they are looking for is a compact SUV car that would fit their desires under their budget. According to the current market of this segment, there is a wide range of competent cars around their budget bracket. To evaluate their features and specifications we go through the process called Bench-Marking. This procedure involves a structured comparison between similar products in the same segment aspects, including their distinction in design and performance. This is further divided into Bench-Marking I (including overall specs and features rating according to customer's feedback)and Bench-Marking II (includes detailed comparison into BIW(Body in White) aspects such as wheelbase, BIW weight(Cover, body, hood, engine compartment), overall dimensions, part surface area, etc.).However, to recommend out of the current competition the following four come on the top:-
A) Maruti Suzuki Breeza 2022

New Maruti Brezza was the most awaited car in this segment from Maruti. A 1.5L four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine is refined and engined with a gearbox combination that is one of the smoothest in its class. The fuel efficiency for which Maruti is known is not yet missing in this car with whooping 16-17kmpl(City) and 18-20kmpl(Highways) with mild Hybrid tech reinforced. The car seems bigger and has a good road presence, leaving out the same vibe of the RANGE ROVER. Overall the vehicle's dynamic is great on highways and in the city. With stability on par with the light steering and control, it seems smooth. Along with safety features, the electronics technology offered is also, rear ac vents to improve A/c capabilities these are the basic spec provided in base-to-top models. The Lxi variant which is said to be value for money variant falls under the budget and would cost Rs.9,58,420 on-road currently in Bangalore. An additional feature where Breeza shines is its Central locking System and Rear power window which are missing from its rival Tata Nexon Base model. However, unlike only one feature the great quality ride offered by TATA Nexon for longer roads with under-thigh support, Breeza is the ride to be considered as a well-rounded Family Car.
B) TATA Nexon

TATA Nexon is considered the best seller of its class and why not. It comes with very good packaged specifications and features, whoever likes to have turbo powered engine would love to get Nexon on hand which comes with a 1.2L Turbocharged engine with great power. However, which compromises the mileage a little bit rounding about 12-13kmpl(City) and 16-18kmpl(Highways). Looks vise it has that sporty look with the overall highest length in wheelbase compared to other cars in the segment. The vehicle's dynamic is great on highways and in the city. With great stability on par with the light steering and control, it has great suspension and cushioning, resulting in comfortable rides for every instance. Safety is a known feature in TATA cars with global NCAP 5 star rated for Nexon. It also has deep boot space in comparison to others.
According to the budget, the XE variant can be a great option. The on-road cost for the car in Bangalore is Rs.9,49,355 which is a tad bit less than the breeza. The missing features can be a little upsetting such as the absent rear power windows uncomfortable positioning of the rear power socket. However, trade-offs can be considered. Overall Nexon can be a great addition to any family.
C) KIA Sonet

Kia India has been quick to emerge in the top-five list of automakers in the country, and being amongst the top-selling Compact SUVs Kia Sonet has been in the charts for a while now in demand leading long waiting lists and is considered a good enough option for car buyers.
With a 1.2L Petrol Engine for the base variant under the said budget which is a bit underpowered for a compact SUV that is relatively used in the hatchback of the Hyundai i20.The variant which is offered within the price range is the HTE version at Rs.9,24,608.However, another variant could come around for Rs.9,98,000 HTK variant with variable increment crossing 10 lakhs upper limit. Additionally, the HTK variant does offer many features with the addition of Speakers, Rear power windows, Keyless entry, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, Tyre Pressure Monitor, and LED Tail lamps which could be a tradeoff but would cost more. One positive feature of Sonet is it contains 4 airbags for safety as compared to only 2 in others. The car offers a great sporty road presence with its signature Tiger Nose Grill which is quite as ethically pleasing. Kia Sonet can be considered a good family car although with average performance yielding 15-16kmpl mileage in cities and 18-21kmpl on highways it is a good option.
D) Hyundai Venue

Hyundai Venue is one of the top-selling cars after Creta with a new additional feature introduced on the launch of a facelift with a signature chrome grill and fabulous aesthetical road presence it is considered yet another option for car buyers to buy.
It comes with a 1.2L petrol engine for the base variant E for the budget, offering about the same performance as KIA Sonet. The closest comparison would be between Kia Sonet its closest rival yet Hyundai being the parent company there are some differences between them, looks wise Venue is more elegant and Sonet is more aggressive from the front, Although Venue's rear look with led lined tail lamps are best in this segment which offers that premium look to the car. The Hyundai Venue's E is the variant that falls under the price bracket of Rs.9,22,421 lowest of all around this segment. It comes with two-tone black and greige interiors, integrated rear seat headrests, front power windows, manual air conditioning controls, and a front USB Type C charger, electrically adjustable ORVMs among other features. Similar safety features with only 2 airbags are offered, the mileage is a crucial factor which it lacks a bit, it has 14-15kmpl and 17-19kmpl on highways. With Hyundai's premium standpoint venue can become an affordable family car option for anyone.
