Benchmarking
The conditions provided by Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhi is that the car should be used for daily purpose and that too in a crowded place,price should be around 8 to 10 lakhs on road and the car will also be used for travelling 500km once a month so it should give good mileage plus 5 persons should sit comfortablly.
In my opinion TATA ALTROZ is the best premium 5 seater car giving good mileage and best in class also suitable for a crowded place and for long drives.
With the help of benchmarking process I am going to validate my answer.
1.TATA ALTROZ
PRICE: Rs 7.11lakhs to 10.94lakhs(on-road price).

These data shows that the car is extremelly suitable for 5 persons.

There are some there cars in this price segment but their safety and features dont reach the level of TATA ALTROZ

The dimensions,specifications and mileage of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz are much similar but there are differences like legroom,boot space and entertainment features due to which due Tata Altroz is a better option over Maruti Baleno.
3. VOLKSWAGEN POLO
PRICE: Rs 5.83 lakhs to 10.25 lakhs

This car does not provide many safety and entertainment features likes:Automatic Climate Control,Remote engine Start/Stop,Height Adjustable seatbelts,Rear Speakers plus the mileage is way lower than the TATA ALTROZ.
Hence this is a clear NO under 8 to 10 lakhs budget
4.MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT DZIRE

Maruti suzuki Swist Dzire would be recommended for driving for daily purpose and for long drives if MR.D.S. Pughazhyendhi loves SEDAN type car also it is to be noted that this vehicle passes the budget by an approx amount of 1.5 lakhs.
This too has all the features as contained by TATA ALTROZ.
TO SUM UP:
BALENO and ALTROZ has the same dimensions,same pricing range both of them are hatchback but going by the features,safety and design ALTROZ is an all time win.
VOLKSWAGEN POLO and TATA ALTROZ are also hatchbacks in the same pricing range.The mileage and the features of Polo compared to Altroz ae way less.Even common safety and entertainment features are not available in Polo so going for a car with this budget,VOLKSWAGEN POLO should not be in the list.
MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT DZIRE is a sedan and its exceeds the budget as provides by MR. D.S. Pughazhyendhi but if he is interested in byuing a sedan then he should go for buying its lower versions which would not be recommended as some of the important safety features and functions will not be avialable in the lower price ranges.Hence Tata ALtroz is the best car suitable for Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhi because of the conditions provided by him.
