Benchmarking
Bench marking:
Bench marking is refers to the process of comparing one company's performance against that of other companies in the same industry. This can be done in terms of financial measures such as profitability or return on investment, or non-financial measures such as customer satisfaction levels. The aim is to identify areas where the company can improve its performance.
One way that automobile companies strive to produce the best vehicles possible is through bench marking. This process involves studying and comparing the design, performance, and quality of other companies' products in order to learn from their successes and improve upon their weaknesses. In order to accurately benchmark, it is important to consider a wide variety of factors, including both objective measures like fuel economy and subjective measures like customer satisfaction. By constantly striving to improve their vehicles through bench marking, automobile companies can hope to produce the best possible products for their customers.
