AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARKIN.

CASE:-

Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, a five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him options so that he will buy a good car for his family.

REPORT:-

when it comes to selection of a car and this too in 2022 when there are plenty of option with plenty of brand and types , where we have petrol,diesel, electric, hybrid etc.. and searching for the best car for one in this numbers of option available in market is a tough job, but sorting things out makes it easy to scroll under available option.

• In Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii once a month he drives 500kms =1000kms for round trip and,

he also drives daily to office assuming daily drive is 40kmsx30=1200km+1000km+300km=2500kms/m and some what assuming 30,000km/year.

• he will need car which is duriable, safe, with good milage, low mantinance, spacious good leg room.
• when it comes to drive in city most reliable engine option is offcoures petrol,
• considering budget and run of a car/year we can not go with hybrid and electric.
• considering diesel engine would increase monthly maintanence in long term perspective,as family and officially use.

• talking about power figures and milage maruti ertiga is dominant .
• all though nexon gives more power and torque output but milage goes with ertiga and magnite.
• in same range of 10 lakh we get 1L, 1.2L, where as ertiga comes with 1.5Lwith smart hybrid which is a advantage.
• apart from this specification ertiga has Regenerative Braking, Idle Start/Stop which helps producing energy while breaking and use when acclerated.

Dimensions & Weight.

• magnite, venue, nexon, comes under sub-4meter and ertiga comes over 4metrs .

Capacity.

• almost same boot space for magnite, venue,nexon.
• for ertiga boot space might be less as it is behind the third row.
• but The 550-litre enclosure is adequate in case the third row is not in use.

Safety.

• in safty dominating is nexon with 5star and magnite with 4star where as eetiga with 3 star ,
• however face lift of ertiga will have 4 air bags which is +point with 3star NCAP rating.

CONCLUSION:-

looking in all the aspect mentioned above, and considering needs of Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii the most appropreate and practical option is ,"maruti ertiga" over venue, nexon, magnite.

all though nexon is also preferable but in same price range ertiga with 7 seatter is pratical and also fulfill the need of big car.
