Objective:
The main objective of this report is to suggest a car between 8-10 laks which is currently available in the market and best suited for the given case through benchmarking.
Case:
Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, a five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him options so that he will buy a good car for his family.

What is Benchmarking?
In Benchmarking we define several products available in the market in the same segment and compare them on various parameters such as price, specifications, features etc.
In our case we will benchmark 4 vehilces which fulfills our customer's needs in the 8-10 lakh category. Mr Pughazhyendhi is fond of big cars and has a family of 5. So we need at least 5 seater vehicle with safety as topmost priority, then comes mileage and cofort as well. Luggage space will also be an important factor since customer visits his native place once a month and must be doing some trips as well apart from his daily commute.
In this segment, compact SUVs and swedan can give big car feel as these have high seating position, ample view of surroundings, robustly build and perfect for Indian road conditions. So, we are going to compare four popular compact SUVs and swedan in this segment.
