ØSince the problem statement clearly mentions the user is looking for a big car, It is best suited to consider car in the COMPACT SUV segment for study.

ØFollowing are cars in SUB 4M SUV category chosen for BENCHMARKING

• Renault duster
• Kia seltos
• Maruthi Vitara Brezza
• Hyundai verna
• Ford ecosport

ØIt is a structured way of comparing two entities of same category, in this case COMPACT SUV’s.

Ø For Benchmarking-I few basic but important criterias were chosen for comparison. They include the following,

• TRANSMISSION
• MILEAGE
• ON ROAD COST
• ENGINE CAPACITY
• FUEL TYPE
• BOOT SPACE
• SEATING CAPACITY

ØUtmost priority was given to SAFETY RATINGS while performing the study. In case if the car missed the desired safety ratings (ATLEAST 4-STAR) then it was disqualified even if they have very good features and infotainments.

ØMileage and cost was another prime factor to decide the car as these data's are directly proportional to the daily usage and budget constraints.

ØThere were even attempts made to compare different variants of same make and pick the best of them to suit the need and requirement.

Conclusion: Hence, all criterios looks almost same in all 5 cars , I would suggest Mr. D.S Pughazhyendhii to go Hyundai verna because it has slight edge compare to other cars by having more mileage( for Indian road conditions) boot space for comfort driving and for its good design and looks.
