what is Bench-Marking?

ans.) synonym for bench marking is comparison. when we buy a mobile phone we basically compare few mobile phones based on their features, price, models and vaious aspects as per need , thus we are creating bench marks for mobile phone, in short we compared them with many.

in automotive design, in order to create a design ,which is outstanding on as many as aspects possible , we have to benchmark the already available designs. somethings are carried over from existing design and some are developed new. thus, while deciding the carry over and new designs, bench marking plays vital role in simplyfying the complex structure. as per above example given , the bench mark for a design is also based on various factors.

the best suited big car for D.S. Pughazhyendhii w.r.t his expectations is HYUNDAI VENUE.

all the cars are above 7 lakhs to 10 lakhs , but the budget is from 8 to 10 lakhs, though it can decrease.

considering other factors like mileage of hyundai venue is nearly equal to tata nexon. but the max torque provide by tata nexon and kkia sonnet is way lesser tha hyundai venue.

all the cars are SUV.

therefore, on torque and mileage basis hyundai venue is best, but on cost basis hyundai venue is costly, but the price of hyundai venue is in the budget range.
