TITLE: Sheet metal design of BRACKET.
OBJECTIVE: To design a sheet metal Bracket from a 2D sketch with help of NX CAD tool features.
INTRODUCTION:
In this project convert the 2D sketch to 3D and add the advanced features to get strengthen the bent portions.
For this project, I have chosen the NX tool with help of advanced sheet metal design features.
DESCRIPTION:
FEATURES USED:
ABOUT GUSSET:
As per the guidelines that the width and depth of the gusset at an angle of 45 degrees is directly proportional to the radius and material thickness.
t = Sheet metal thickness, h = depth of gussets, W = width of gussets
A certain distance must be maintained between a hole and gusset to avoid metal deformation and fracturing. It is recommended that the minimum distance between hole edge to gusset should be at least eight times the material thickness.

CONCLUSION:
with this project learned to design apart from 2D sketch to 3D and gained the importance of gussets and their rules to implement on the part.
