TITLE - DESIGNING A BRACKET.

OBJECTIVE - To design a bracket using a sheet metal workbench of NX cad software.

INTRODUCTION - Nx cad software is a simple and powerful tool that has a wide variety of applications in various industries such as automobiles, medical, aircraft, etc. using the sheet metal workbench from Nx, we will create the required part.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY –

DESCRIPTION -

1 -CONTOUR FLANGE -

we create a sketch and then extrude it in a particular direction.

2 - NORMAL CUTOUT -

This command is used to cut material by projecting a sketch onto a model and then cutting perpendicular to the faces intersected by the projection.

3 -HOLE -

This command is used to make holes in a part taking points as input for holes.

4 - BREAK CORNER -

This command is used to round or chamfer sharp corners of the tab or flange.

5- UNBEND -

This command is used to unbend the material to create a flat sheet.

6 - CLOSED CORNER -

This command is used to modify two flanges, it closes the corner of two flanges where they meet. relief can also be given to the flanges.

7 - BEAD -

This command is a stiffening feature. it stiffens the sheet metal. it is used to lift the material along the contour of the sketch that simulates the stamping tool.

This command is used to bend the sheet metal part that we had previously bent.

9- FLAT PATTERN -

This command is used to create the 2D drawing view of the sheet metal part.

10- DRAFTING -
